I love Penny and I love your humor so this sheet goes hand in hand with my fun glands!
The curves are on point in all the right places, we can barely notice how gigantic her hands are cause of them, hahah. It's a very good implementation of her design.
Also that one where she smooches that mascot and pulls back looking at the viewer making a little noise has made me think a lot in the past, and now it is back to bless my subconscious.
the mascot thing is from JobbytheHong's thing where his score is a little godzilla kiss
I reccomend his videos, they're great.
No such thing as too many guns! You could post a few.
I like the second color scheme for Rigel, it's easy to get lost in his eyes otherwise due to contrast.
Vinka is good wife material.
Yea, now that i think abt it, im not sure whether i should make new guns entirely or make pre existing guns look cooler...
Thanks! im still trying to get that good mix of vibrant/dull in my designs, but i want the majority of colors to be dull.
thank you!
I checked the new ones and these are all some very nice designs! With very good expressions, regarding both body language and facial features. Details on the clothes are great too, I love those leg warmers.
I'll have to go a bit off road here though, and remind you the art portal is not for Sketches or WIPs (you can still upload them without having them show up there). You could certainly pick a few of these and give them some color, specially so you can properly qualify them as entries.
colorless lines count as sketches?
This is an interesting picture since there's a form that's actually nice to stare with its many variations of brush size and discontinuities, all while not immediately giving out what it is until you get to read the title, so it's something you can only really see once!
The speed lines are really nice, the blue intrigues me since it gives me the impression the car has hit a water barrel or something and that's the only way I can think of to accentuate movement as you can only go so far with a still image and some deformation.
I'm just not sure if the shiny silhouette is a person or a seat, it looks like a pulled back seat to me. The convertible hood is massive, but I'm not sure if that adds to the picture. Certainly work on some more ambiguous stuff like this though, it's really interesting.
Hmm not seeing what it is until you read the title... I'd hoped it wasn't THAT unclear. :) Do like that you get such intriguing first impressions though, and the imaginative thoughts regarding the speed lines too. Chase does seem it might imply such a thing.
Yes, that's a seat, and the black figure in front of it is the person driving. Partially out of the frame for drawing simplicity, I guess. Hood of the car though... are you seeing that here...? I wonder if you're seeing it the right way if you are, but thank you for the fresh impressions! Seems I definitely do need to work a bit on my cars too. :)
I like the lens flare effect, it's pretty well hidden in the texture as it subtly leads the eye to the more important, shiny bits! The detail on the gold pile is nice as well, with the different shades of yellow that lets you discern the coins from one another very efficiently.
However I find that the rainbow is a bit wobbly, not in the fun slide way, abruptly ending near the pile instead of fading out; not sure if you intended to have it be a solid thing or not though. The symbol on the pot could also have been more symmetric, which would have given the impression it's on a round surface - seems like it is bulging out to me otherwise.
Overall though, it's a pretty comfortable picture to stare at! I'm assuming the texture was used to make it seem like it just stopped raining too, rainbow and whatnot, which is pretty soothing.
Hey thanks for a very nice detailed review this was just something I played with the rainbow was a tad bit wably thank you for the review.
~X~
The coloring work on this is fantastic, very faithful to Warhammer! Details on the chaos marine like the book/cloth and symbols are superb too.
Great work man.
Thank you. I think Warhammer has the best characters and character designs in sci-fi. So many other franchises draw inspiration from it Starcraft being the most notable but yeah Space marines chaos and loyal are awesome.
I didn't even notice you mixed this with an actual picture! Nailed the bumps in her paper surface too. Great work.
Thanks, I even flexed a paper myself to get the desired effect for the texture. The bus stop is locaded outside my old home and the building it's behind those green pillars...
I appreciate that pentagram design on her outfit, surprisingly subtle as it took me a moment to notice!
Also the lineless hair is really dope. Sadly it doesn't contrast very well with her skin color, making it a bit hard to make out, so that kills a lot of the picture for me.
Thank you for your comments! next time i work on a piece like this i'll try using more vibrant colors to make things pop more.
I really, REALLY love the background and the way you applied detail on not only the things but also the outfits. Sadly this contrasts very hard with the lady up front, whose face is lacking in that department. In my opinion she steals a lot of the attention that belongs elsewhere to me.
I'm not sure if it was on purpose, considering your other pieces have very decent anatomy. I'd certainly vouch for a version where she's wearing her scarf as a mouth mask of sorts, using the clash of detail in a more positive, obvious way.
Hey I really appreciate it!! I agree, I really could have planned out the visual hierarchy a bit better. I also did take some liberties so I could show her smile, maybe dropping some bangs on her might have the same effect?
