Holy guacamole, this is a very solid sheet for a very solid looking character!

Those outfits are very fashionable, not sure if she wears padding on the shoulders in some of them though since they look a bit blockier/manlier than her turn around suggests, but that could be just my impression.

I love the fuzzyness on the tail/head, maybe have some fur sticking out around the legs, like in the casual clothes, to match it? Either way, great work!

ff0 responds:

Thank you! I am glad you like her.

Those are all clothes I own and wear, thus I can confirm there is some form of padding or sewing technique that makes the shoulders appear larger on all 3 of the outfits shown.

This character represents me, I have a bit of a reversed triangle body shape that I put emphasis on using the design ( fur tufts, clothing, markings, etc. ) which is why the lower body part of the character seems to lack some of those features!

I love Sarah, and the background you did really works well with her color scheme. Sadly the way you drew her upper chest made her look very top heavy to me; It makes her skinny arms look even skinnier and breaks the flow of her design a little.

Still, her expression is pretty cute. It's hard to dislike anything with her in it.

Pretty sweet stippling work dude, I like the striped one.

I'm assuming this is a photo of the paper, scanning it properly would help the resolution quality.

ZomAlien responds:

Thanks for the review, and I'll keep that in mind.

Hey this isn't too bad, specially if it's over a decade old. I can see where you were going for with the color scheme, nice details on the outfit.

While the perspective is a bit off in the main drawing, as you said, I appreciate it on those things on the the sleeve, nice feeling of depth cause of them. The character concept is nice too and I can sort of feel it in the design.

Too bad you don't seem to have furthered yourself into drawing, it's never too late to pick it up again though.

The outfit and the shading are pretty good, I like the background as well.
Sadly her eyes are kind of each darted off somewhere, so it's a bit strange looking to me. Maybe she's looking at a foe, like in the show? It's a bit unclear what she's doing, so I'm covering my balls on this one just in case.

Still, very nice colors. The choice of brush is interesting too.

where is the rest of this you beautiful son of a bitch

I love Penny and I love your humor so this sheet goes hand in hand with my fun glands!
The curves are on point in all the right places, we can barely notice how gigantic her hands are cause of them, hahah. It's a very good implementation of her design.

Also that one where she smooches that mascot and pulls back looking at the viewer making a little noise has made me think a lot in the past, and now it is back to bless my subconscious.

CaptainJingo responds:

the mascot thing is from JobbytheHong's thing where his score is a little godzilla kiss

I reccomend his videos, they're great.

No such thing as too many guns! You could post a few.

I like the second color scheme for Rigel, it's easy to get lost in his eyes otherwise due to contrast.
Vinka is good wife material.

nillaaa responds:

Yea, now that i think abt it, im not sure whether i should make new guns entirely or make pre existing guns look cooler...
Thanks! im still trying to get that good mix of vibrant/dull in my designs, but i want the majority of colors to be dull.
thank you!

I checked the new ones and these are all some very nice designs! With very good expressions, regarding both body language and facial features. Details on the clothes are great too, I love those leg warmers.

I'll have to go a bit off road here though, and remind you the art portal is not for Sketches or WIPs (you can still upload them without having them show up there). You could certainly pick a few of these and give them some color, specially so you can properly qualify them as entries.

shibbbie responds:

colorless lines count as sketches?

This is an interesting picture since there's a form that's actually nice to stare with its many variations of brush size and discontinuities, all while not immediately giving out what it is until you get to read the title, so it's something you can only really see once!

The speed lines are really nice, the blue intrigues me since it gives me the impression the car has hit a water barrel or something and that's the only way I can think of to accentuate movement as you can only go so far with a still image and some deformation.

I'm just not sure if the shiny silhouette is a person or a seat, it looks like a pulled back seat to me. The convertible hood is massive, but I'm not sure if that adds to the picture. Certainly work on some more ambiguous stuff like this though, it's really interesting.

Cyberdevil responds:

Hmm not seeing what it is until you read the title... I'd hoped it wasn't THAT unclear. :) Do like that you get such intriguing first impressions though, and the imaginative thoughts regarding the speed lines too. Chase does seem it might imply such a thing.

Yes, that's a seat, and the black figure in front of it is the person driving. Partially out of the frame for drawing simplicity, I guess. Hood of the car though... are you seeing that here...? I wonder if you're seeing it the right way if you are, but thank you for the fresh impressions! Seems I definitely do need to work a bit on my cars too. :)
